Mt. 8848 and age 60 questions???

After the success of “Rat Bitauna” video, Mt. 8848 released their next video “Saathi Saal” from their album “Yo Sansar”. Saathi is a very groovy track that gets stuck to your head from the word go and the video also compliments this feel. The video is made in a unique way where the black and white video with the model segments rendered in color and the lyrics given as caption/subtitle makes this video stand out of the rest of the videos out in the market now.

The video is made by “AVI production” where the camera works, direction editing and even graphics has been handled very well by Simosh Sunuwar. Without doubts Sunuwar is one the most talented and experienced music video professional who even gave a new definition to special effects in Nepali music videos. This video is not exception in case of special effects where the song itself starts in a TV box where the band is singing. The cowboy hat and the casual lay back attitude carried by the band members in the video suits the overall country melody of the song. The lyric as caption makes it like a karaoke song. The cool lyrics and its feel have been justified by the video to a good extent.

The camera work is also very good, the angle in which the video is shot and the editing of scenes has also been crafted almost to perfection by Simosh. The model Namarta Shrestha who appears from the middle of the video looks pretty and fit for the character of the witty and arrogant cowgirl. She has also acted in a decent manner and has tried to prove her acting skills as well though in a relatively small part. The band members look jubilant through out the video which make you glued to the video for the whole 3 minutes and twenty three seconds.

The overall feel of the song is good and it has been well presented in the video by the director. The graphics is also used in the right amount, the band members are enjoying and the model looks superb. This is a must watch video. It is available in “Reeyaz Hits Vol. 3” video CD.
